City Of Munising At Present

 

The City of Munising at the Present time has a population of 2,806. Munising Township has a population of 2,784. Munising has ten churches, one high school, one middle school, one elementary and two church schools. The city has a City Park, Tennis courts, Golf Course, Heritage Center and Museum. Senior citizens have their own center.

 

 

Munising Memorial Hospital is equipped with 40 beds. There is also the Superior Health Haven, which is a rest home.

 

Munising has recently made improvements and additions to their city pier and marina, or known more widely as the "L". Here, boater enthusiasts can store their boats. The pier is also used by the Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise. You can fish from the doc and catch whitefish, splake, northern pike, brown trout and perch.  Make sure to check for any regulations before fishing the Munising pier.
