Federal Forest Highway 13 is chock full of National Forest public
camp
grounds towards the
North end of the highway. The highway runs north and south. Wetmore, Michigan is located at the
north end of highway- Nahma Junction is located to the south and meets U.S 2.
Highway 13 is considered the main north-south artery of the Hiawatha National Forest (America's LEAST visited National Park) The campgrounds adorning Highway 13 have great fishing for bluegill, smallmouth bass, northern pike, yellow perch and all are situated on small to large heavily forested lakes. Pete's lake is one of our favorite and always have camp site vacancies- with the exception of holiday weekends. Get there early.
