... Record snowfall and precipitation was set January 15th at the
Marquette National Weather Service office...
15.8 inches of snow fell yesterday at the Marquette National
Weather Service office. This broke the previous heaviest snowfall
for January 15th of 10.6 inches set in 1981. 0.59 inch of
precipitation also fell yesterday which broke the previous record
for January 14th of 0.41 inch also set in 1981.
Weather records for the National Weather Service office in Negaunee
township date to 1961.

... Record snowfall and precipitation set today at the Marquette
National Weather Service office...
14.1 inches of snow has fallen so far today at the Marquette
National Weather Service office. This broke the previous heaviest
snowfall for this date of 10.6 inches set in 1981. 0.55 inch of
precipitation has also fallen today which broke the previous record
of 0.41 inch also set in 1981. More snowfall will continue to fall
this evening which will add to the record totals and this record
event report will be updated with the final totals for the day after
midnight.
