UPDATE: Friday, November 24, 2006 Soon approaching a new snowmobile season ahead. Autumn 2006 weather has been just splendid. It couldn't have been better. Autumn colors were fantastic- and actually stood around for awhile, instead of getting whisked away prematurely as in most years gone by. According to weather forecasters, we're headed into a freeze zone by the first of next week. We've been waiting for it and now it's drawing near... yup you guessed it. Snow that is. That's right- we could be looking down the gun barrel at a shot of snow. Wouldn't that be nice hey? We'll keep our eyes wide open. Our weather temps in January went from a dismal record breaking above normal let-down, to a below normal February and thus... we have a snowmobile season to remember for more reasons than YuK. Additionally, March ushered itself in with below normal temps for the first week. Then, for the next several days we went into a major melt down and then back into winter. The last week of March brought us temps into the 50's and thus ended the ill-fated U.P. Snowmobile season as it came to be known... once again.
