Harley Davidson Restoration Help
To Anyone who can help with Harley Davidson Restoration
My grandfather is currently in the process of restoring a 1936 R series
Harley Davidson. At present he is finding it quite difficult to find pictures of
that particular model.
Especially the rear brake assembly and how it connects to the brake pedal as it
is on the right hand side (all the photos we could find had the rear brake on
the left) .
The bike was missing a lot of parts and due to its age many of these
pieces are no longer in existence, thus he's finding it necessary to fabricate
many of the parts himself. He wishes however to keep it looking as original as
possible.
If you possess any photos, diagrams of this motorcycle it would be
extremely helpful (especially photos of the engine and rear brake assembly).
Secondly if you could think of any contacts who may possess this
information please let me know any pictures or information can be emailed to
luke_jones_006@hotmail.com
Thank you for your time Luke Jones

Harley XLS 1000 Restoration Question
I am putting back together a Harley xls1000 roadster. I'm at the
exhaust, and all the mounting hardware is missing. I'm to put
on a 2 into 1 header pipe fitted with a thunderheader. I don't know
what parts are needed to complete this, I'm assuming there are gaskets and
clamps missing to seat the header pipes to the head ports.
I've looked through the original Harley XLS1000 parts books and another
after market book and I have seen no mention of hardware needed. Do you
know of a web site that shows the original hardware for mounting these
exhausts ports?
thanks
Purchase Used Harley Parts
I find your website and was wondering if you could help me. I have a
2005 Softail Deluxe that I bought several
aftermarket parts
for, do you know of anyone who purchases used Harley Davidson parts? I know
I could go the Ebay route but I was hoping to find someone who buys parts in
bulk. If you can suggest anyone please let me know. I can be reached by
cell at 609-304-7213 or
E-mail me.
Thanks,

1986 FXRD, Limited Edition Touring Bike Question
I have a 1986 FXRD, Limited Edition Touring bike. The VIN tells me it
was made in York, PA. How many of these were made. I read someplace
that there were only 1000, but that's hard to believe.
Thanks
